President of the Public Servants Association (PSA), Watson Duke has reiterated that he was not pleased with the way in which the Ministry of Health dealt with issues regarding the South West Regional Health Authority.
He explained that he was unhappy with the treatment of the Point Fortin area Hospital in particular.
Speaking from the PSA Head office on Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain, this morning Duke stated that promises were made in July of 2012 to start repairs on the hospital.
However he revealed that to date nothing had been done.
The PSA President said several discrepancies were swept under the carpet at the Point Fortin Hospital and he deems the hospital unsafe.
Watson Duke disclosed that attempts to made to contact the Health Minister were unsuccessful.
He claimed that the union is not going to stop fighting for the rights, safety and finances of its members.
