Work at the immigration office comes to a halt

Immigration workers from the Fredrick Street Office have once again shut down operations at the building.

This time they complain of an unbearable stench that makes working at the building unbearable.

President of the Public Services Association, Watson Duke, was on the scene when workers decided to walk out.

On hearing of the development persons waiting on their passport became angry and blocked the workers’ exit.

Last week the Government filed an injunction against the union’s actions.

The High Court ordered that workers must return to the job because it contravenes Chap 88:01 of the Industrial Relations Act.

Workers who continue to protest maybe charged with contempt of court

Reports coming to hand have stated that the san Fernando Office is operational ,but they are only accepting emergency applications.
